Multiclear is an exterior/interior Acrylic Urethane - a unique
waterbased clear that contains hydroxyl groups that can be
crosslinked to achieve outstanding performance.
Multiclear exhibits excellent durability, ultra-violet light
resistance and is highly recommended for exterior applications -
along with exceptional hardness, tensile strength, abrasion
resistance - while maintaining a balance of flexibility.
Abrasion and chemical resistances are extremely good when
allowed to air dry. Considerable improvements are achieved
when combined with 2-4 % by weight Multiclear 'B', forming a 2 pack
crosslinging system.
- Multiclear compares favorably with high performance 2 pack
conventional solvent-born Urethane Lacquers.
- Environmentally friendly - no toxic solvent fumes.
- Self-leveling - achieving smooth gloss or satin finish.
- Outstanding adhesion to a wide variety of substrates.
- Exceptional toughness, flexibility and abrasion
resistance.
- Excellent glaze system over Multifleck.
Multiclear should be used over all types of substrates where
hardwearing low dirt pick up properties, along with additional
durability, abrasion and scrubability resistance, are
requried. Over Multifleck, furniture, wood, displays and
reception counters, floors, walls, etc. in offices, schools,
hospitals, shopping malls, building complexes, shops, hotels,
apartments, food processing areas, freezing works, meat and dairy
industries, dairy companies to suit MAF requirements.

Water.
Multiclear can be applied as supplied and allowed to air
dry. for a harder more durable finish, Multiclear should be
mixed with its crosslinking hardener Multiclear "B" between
2-4% apply using mohair roller or brush. maintaining
good wet edge, laying off evenly in one direction. Add 10%
water in extremely hot climate conditions (avoid foam rollers, they
tend to cause aeration problems).
Mix a & B together, add 20% water. apply 1 light coat
- allow 10 minutes to tack, then immediately apply second coat -
allow 10 minutes to tack, then repeat third coat as required.
Recoating after 8 hours - will require complete sanding due to
chemical resistance of Multiclear.
for optimum performance use 4% Multiclear 'B' to each 1 litre
Multiclear 'A', add 46 mls (40 grams by weight) of Multiclear part
'B'. Mix well together. use with 4-8 hours after
preparation, dependent on ambient temperatures.
After 4-8 hours, Multiclear can still be used as the hydrolysed
product has no adverse effect on either the liquid Multiclear or
the dried film. additional Hardener 'B' can be added to
restore activity. Rates at 4% by weight should be used.
Should more than 4% hardener be used, pot life will be
decreased.
